At Luna Vista Behavioral Health Services, we provide comprehensive, community-based mental and behavioral health support for youth and their families in Taos and surrounding areas. We offer school- and community-based outreach, counseling, skill-building, and support services tailored to promote emotional wellness, academic success, and healthy relationships. Whether a child is facing challenges at school, at home, or in their community, our team is here to provide meaningful support every step of the way.We specialize in assessing and addressing individual needs across the five core functional domains:1. Independent Living – We help individuals build daily living skills such as personal hygiene, household management, transportation use, and financial literacy to foster independence.2. Education and Learning – Our team supports youth in developing positive learning behaviors, managing classroom expectations, improving attendance, and achieving educational goals.3. Working – We guide clients in exploring career interests, gaining pre-employment skills, and preparing for job readiness to encourage long-term vocational success.4. Socializing – We assist clients in developing healthy communication, conflict resolution, and relationship-building skills to support positive interactions with peers, family, and community members.5. Recreation – We promote engagement in healthy, meaningful leisure activities as a vital part of emotional regulation, self-esteem, and holistic wellness.Through collaboration with families, schools, and other local partners, we work to create safe, supportive environments where youth can grow, heal, and reach their fullest potential. *Self-pay on a sliding scale
We are committed to making care affordable. No youth will be turned away due to inability to pay. We also assist with Medicaid enrollment support upon request.

*Referrals are accepted from parents, schools, primary care providers, juvenile justice systems, and community organizations.
*Youth may also self-refer (with parental consent when required by law).Intake Process

3. Assignment to a provider and scheduling of first session
4. Development of a personalized care plan

YES, we currently provide in-person and telehealth services.
